This year, 2009, marks the beginning of our 32nd year of operation for LSNF. We service sixteen counties in North Florida. Our service area is largely rural, with the largest cities being Pensacola and Tallahassee. Our poverty population is 167,000 according to 2000 census. As the financial eligibility for LSNF is currently set at 125% of the federal poverty guidelines, these 167,000 low income people are financially eligible for our services. Program wide, our poverty population is 21% of our general population.
